Pressure belts create wind belts. For example, high pressure belts lie at about 30 degrees North and South latitudes(which are called horse latitudes) and low pressure belt (Equatorial low pressure belt) lies over the equator.Becase of this, winds blow towards the equator from the horse latitudes of the both hemisphere. The winds that blow over this wind belt are called trade winds. These winds are responsible for the formation of the wind cell called the Hadley cell.
