Well, three months ago, I moved from where I have grown up for the majority of my life, Richmond Virginia, to where I was born, Florida.
And I was sad, of course, to leave my friends, my home, and my family.
Now, I have mad friends in florida, through school, and everything, and I'm fairly happy.
But my parents have told me in a year, when our lease is up, we might move home!
I am soooo excited, we still have out house there, we haven't sold it, and I was just soo excited.
I told some of my friends, but they're not happy for me, but I called my Bff in Va, and she was happy.
I don't know weather I should be sad, because now I feel bad that I was sooo happy to go home....But thats not wrong...
Should I be sad about moving? Its not like I'm never going to talk to my friends down here again, we all have aim, amd a myspace....

You can't help it if your happy. Explain to them that this is not the end of your friendship.

That is only natural! Your friends feel like they are losing you. Just as you felt when you moved to Florida. You are excited to go back home. That is great. Just make the most of our time in Florida and don't really show your excitement about leaving in front of your new friends. Just enjoy your time and have fun with your friends and when you do move (if you move), you can just tell them you're going back home to be with the rest of your family. They should understand that. Just be considerate of their feelings and try not to be too happy about getting out of there!

You have every right to feel both excited and sad. You want to go home, but you dont' want to leave your friends. And your friends in Florida are only sad because they will miss you. Even though you all have aim and myspace, it's not the same as getting to hang out in person. But they will get used to it, I promise you!

Why would you want to feel "sad" about moving, if you do not?

You are basing your feelings on the reactions of others. Use your own brain, and follow your own feelings and heart.

I'm sure you will miss your florida friends, as well... keeping in touch is a good idea.

You can be happy and sad at the same time child. When a child marries, we are happy they are branching out...sad because our little one is grown and *gone*.

When we tend to a wounded animal, we are happy they can be set free in the wild, and sad to see them go. If you were my child, I would be happy you are not in an *I don't care* funk, and sad because I can't take the pain of moving away from your friends from your heart.

You will see the friends all the time online, and once you are older you will have people to visit and places to see!

Chin up my dear!

You should be happy that you are moving back but you should enjoy the time that you have in florida and make the best of your new friends.

Like you said all of you have aim and myspace, so you can keep in touch. It's normal to have mixed emotions. Maybe you can have a going away party and take lots of pictures, and send them to your friends with your new address!

i know how it feels but you don't have to be sad
your friends are because they think u will never met them
but u can tell them that u will also be in contact with them that may make them feel happy
after moving do call them.
