i have always avoided the In crowd for EXACTLY this reason. I am a free thinker, i cant have people telling me how to think.
And yes, hate bullies.

There are different definitions about the "IN" crowd. In high school etc there may have been an "IN" crowd, but in real world there is no such thing. If you are being restricted by groups, that means that you can't possibly be yourself and to be honest whats the point of being with people who won't let you be who you are?
Years on, I'm still friends with people considered "IN" back in high school;
Yes i was one of them but the only reason why was because I did what I wanted to do and was true to myself.
People who are different are more valuable than mass produced ones (they also make life more interesting and you learn more). :P

My answer is exactly the same as the first, with one exeption: I do not wish I was back in school!
Kids and young adults should always be aware that if you are part of the 'in' crowd, you should not just stick only to that crowd. Make friends with people from every crowd. If your 'popular' friends don't like it, they are not your real friends anyway.
Being part of the 'in' crowd doesn't make any difference in the real world!

it's a shame that the people in the "in" crowd does not care that they cause mental pain and anguish to others. As the years go by, most are no longer a part of the "in" crowd but struggle to earn a living just like everyone else.

I've always been in with the IN crowd, but then again I've been able to mingle with all the crowds, I found I didn't like being stuck with one particular group so I hung around them all, as they all have different things too offer, this worked out well for me as I was able to make even more friends!
wow school was great wish I was back there

No, I've never fitted in with the IN crowd but then who wants to be a generic conforming copy?
I don't fit mainly because I have curly hair, if I straighten it then I can join them but I don't see why I should have to...

Yep and at University I gladly went off in my own direction and made friends outside of the usual socail circles and enjoyed life so much more.
many people feel a need to belong so don a 'uniform' be it a goth/chav/casual/trendy/indie/punk.
I always have preferred to be comfortable and happy.
