Cleveland fans are use to their teams choking, its not so much bellyaching as it is acceptance. They do have a good young team and there is hope for the Indians fans, but I don't think the rest of the league has to much to worry about when all is said and done. The Indians will never be able to close.

I'm an Indians fan and, although the series left me broken-hearted, I have no reason to belly ache. The fact is the Red Sox played extremely well and totally deserved the win. I hate seeing the Indians lose but if it's gonna happen anyway I'd rather see them lose to the Red Sox than some other team that lacks fan support (Arizona D-Backs had plenty of unsold tickets during their playoff series with the Rockies). Boston fans had Fenway Park rocking and certainly helped lift their team to victory. I can't help but be happy for them. I hope the Red Sox represent our American League well by crushing the Rockies! Next year, I hope the Indians go to the World Series.

Georgie Porgie is a Detroit Tigers idiot who had a temporary Indians avatar. I am not making excuses, at least I do not think so. I think it fell on our pitching, mainly Sabathia. Not the umpiring, not Joel Skinner...etc. Sure it would have tied the score but I still go back to our ace pitchers who failed to appear at the dance. With the way CC pitched, they should have just thrown Cliff Lee out there against Beckett. This is my opinion. I don't see it as excuse making - just a simple fact. If 19 game winner CC and 19 game winner Fausto show up, maybe that makes all the difference in the world considering they only needed one win. How can anyone on either side of the fence deny that simple truth?

Not all the real baseball fans. There's been many Cleveland fans who have shown a lot of class. It was a tough thing to accept..sorta like the Tigers never gaining ground always seemed like we would darn it !...next year..for now I just gotta enjoy the game

Indians fan right here. The Tribe had a great season - won the division and were tied for the best record in baseball.
I'm proud of them for what they did this year.
In the end, I have to tip my hat to Boston... they really kicked it up a couple notches after being down 3-1. They never gave up. I'll be rooting for them in the World Series, as an AL fan.

I am not an Indians fan, I am a Yankees fan but was rooting for the Indians to win because I hate the Red Sox & are you still belly-aching because your beloved Tigers didn't win division or wild card spot & lost World Series last year. The Red Sox played better & deserved to win but I am pulling for the Rockies to win World Series.

All I can say is that the Cleveland Indian fans have congratulated the Red Sox and their fans and I haven't seen very much here on Y/A baseball from Tiger fans to impress me very much. Nor have I seen much from the Tigers themselves in the last 12-15 years to impress me much but the Indians during the same time frame have done just fine.

why are Tigers fans such poor sports that they weren't even rooting for the team in their division, what a classless operation, they are still mad because the Indians beat them all year long.
I haven't heard anyone belly aching, it ws questionable what happened with Byrd but that's it, they lost they are a young team it happens, not a big deal.
I have lost alot of respect for Tigers fans on this post, they all were whining last year, the Indians haves have congratulated Red Sox fans. Tigers fans just don't know sportsmanship, the same team that boos at every strike, not bad calls but every strike to try to get the ump to call them there way that isn't a real baseball fan.

Most of the Indians fans have been classy except a few rotten apples. Many of the Indian supporters who talked trash were just anti red sox

It's not all of them. I've seen several posts from Indian fans congratulating the Sox and their fans on the ALCS. Most of them aren't making excuses.
