to the guy above me announcing peyton is whiny, you're a moron. he's decrease than no circumstances complaining to refs approximately calls and a minimum of he's now not a sprint pooswa that calls roughing the passer consequences for the ref each time somebody receives indoors of five ft of his knee. Peyton Manning is hands down the appropriate QB indoors the game. call yet another QB who training the sector as top as he does. he's the organic and organic definition of a container accepted. The colts does now not be virtually the group they're without him, which is composed of if brady or brees have been on the group. no one is as consistent as Manning, no one throws a bigger appropriate ball than Manning, no one has better appropriate verbal replace together with his receivers, and no one has ever worked as complicated as Peyton does. Peyton Manning is the Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning is the NFL. Brees is a large quarterback, yet he's now not the main significant explanation why the Saints are good now: previously their protection replaced into better, they have been a mediocre group at appropriate. Brady has consistently has an excellent protection on the back of him, some thing Manning and Brees have not consistently had. Now that the Pats d isn't that good, you notice that they are suffering. Roethlisberger does not belong indoors a similar classification as those 3 and not even the insane steelers followers might argue that he does if his protection hadn't gained 2 large bowls for him.

I would take Manning any day of the week. Brady has one of the greatest offenses ever assembled (that o-line is ridiculous, possibly the best deep threat ever to play the game, the best slot receiver in football, a great receiving tight end, an excellent deep threat #2 wideout, and one of the best coaches the NFL has ever seen).
Peyton has seen much more adversary throughout his career - coming onto a 3-13 team with outrageous expectations. Within a year he had the team's record flip-flopped to 13-3. He's faced all sorts of criticism and much more pressure than Brady - a guy who came in with no expectations onto a team that he could sit back and manage without having to make plays for.
People may argue that Peyton had more weapons than Brady, but obviously Brady had the luxury of a great defense for his championship years. His "no name" receivers were certainly better than those of Donovan McNabb (obviously prior to TO - and look what he did with him), and yet you constantly hear people say McNabb is overrated (ironically with little to no statistical evidence to back that up). At the same time you hear that Brady is one of the best ever because he accomplished all that with "no one" helping him.
The point is that Manning and Brady have had very different roles in their offenses. There is no debating that both have been among the best qb's of this decade. However, because Brady had mostly a game manager role (don't try to make plays, just don't screw up), and the fact that Manning has handled and silenced criticism, the scale has to tip to Mannings favor. I can only imagine the numbers he would put up if he had Brady's current offense and coach. There is no one I would rather have running my offense. I can't wait to see them slug it out in a couple weeks.
TERRENCE: Before Harrison had Manning, he never had a 1000 yard season, and he never made a pro bowl. Also, prior to this season, calling Dallas Clark one of the best TE's in the NFL would have been a stretch - the guy never even has had a 500 yard season!
Terry C: uhh... Wayne didn't come into the league until 2001, and he wasn't productive until 2003, so he hasn't had both Wayne and Harrison his whole career. In fact, as a young qb, before Wayne was a legitimate receiver, Peyton averaged 27.6 TD's a season (through his first 5 years).... before this season, Brady's CAREER high was 28. Prior to Manning's arrival Marvin Harrison only averaged about 800 yards a season - lower than the average leading receiver Brady has had. Plus, Harrison has been injured for half of this season, and Peyton has spread the ball around, made good reads, and still put together good games. I think he would survive without them.

First of all, you can't go wrong with either one, they are both on a another level from anybody else, except maybe Tony Romo at this point.
I would take Peyton Manning on my team. Marvin Harrison goes down, and he still picks apart two good defenses in Jacksonville and Tampa Bay. Yeah, Brady has thrown for a lot of touchdowns this year, but the Colts lead the league in rushing touchdowns, which is directly contributed to Manning being so dangerous. Plus, I like Manning's ability to confuse defenses.

as great of a season tom is having I would take Peyton! He is the definition of what a qb should be. He easily is one of the top 2 qb's I have ever seen and he continues to make his teammates better
as somebody above me pointed out it isn't fair to say that Brady has weapons and to forget to point out that Peyton has weapons every where also. But my quesiton is just how good would Marvin Harrison be without Peyton? How about Dallas CLark?
thanks jim you made my point for me Peyton makes everybody around him better.

Tom Brady every time, not just for this season...I see a lot of hypocritical Colts fans...Funny how you didn't like it when people pointed out that Peyton has great Pro Bowl receivers...Don't try that on the Pats and Brady...*L*...Brady just NOW got the receivers, but has always been good...Peyton has ALWAYS had Marvin and Reggie...I'd like to see Peyton without Marvin and Reggie for a year...

Peyton Manning because quite honestly Tom Brady has yet to play a real football team. Let's just wait and see how he handles that. Then you can see how good he really is.

Peyton Manning because he's a better overall quarterback. He prepares better, he reads defenses better, he has a stronger arm, & he's been more consistently good for a longer time then Brady.

I would definitely take Peyton. Tom Brady is just using the new toys he has. Peyton manages the game. Any given day Marvin can be the guy, Reggie, Dallas Clark, or Joseph Addai. With Brady, you know he is going deep to Randy Moss because nobody so far has been able to slow him down, not even my Cowboys. Peyton hands down.
