What's on my mind......well, let's see. I'm sitting here watching my boss interview a woman for a position that I would like to have had. He knows I've been taking on line courses for that position and yet, they bring in someone from the outside that has no experience in this field, without even letting the current employees like me know that they were looking for someone. Is that even legal? Don't they have to offer in within the company first? The grapevine has it that she was brought in by my boss' boss (who has a reputation for chasing short skirts!) who REALLY likes this girl and has been "pursuing" her for some time now. Should be interesting to see where this goes.... That's what's on my mind right now. Thanks for letting me vent.

I'm astonished at myself because I actually thought Rhydian was really rather good on Saturday night's X-Factor and I NEVER thought I would say that.

And that Sharon's comments to him were very strange, inappropriate, and I'm wondering if she had been at the gin in the ad break.

And also I'm not in a time warp; my daughter is watching a recording of it right now.

What's on my mind? I am irritated that people criticize others simply because they disagree with their personal opinions.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If everyone agreed, it would be boring.

Please, lets treat each other with respect and civility, and then this will be a fun place to have debate and exchange ideas.

Also, my 11th wedding anniversary is Saturday and I want to get one more present for my husband but don't know what to get him!

The fact our President and his VP want to take this country to the brink of disaster. They think bombs and killing are more important than healthy children. That some of the citizenship seem to follow them blindly. The front runners on both sides leave me wanting someone better. The economy. The poor shape of education. The fires in California. I need to put the finishing touches to my Thanksgiving menu. And I need to clean up the yard from this weekend's snowstorm. Thanks for asking.

Sales Taxes:

Example: The state of Texas recently added $1.00 tax on each pack of cigarettes. Naturally you would figure just add a buck to the already $3.56 a pack. Wrong! Now in addition to the $1.00 tax you have to pay sales tax on the tax hike. How fair is that. I think personally that paying tax on a tax is unconstitutional.

It is not just cigarettes, it all items.

I sure wish there was a way to protect children from perverts and predators. Their very innocence makes them such easy targets. If it was legal for mothers to act as wild animal mothers do, I assure you that there would be far fewer victimised kids.

I believe the FDA needs to get more involved in the production of food in this country. How many food recalls have we had this year! C'mon people, get off your butts and do something about this or we won't have any food on the shelves!!!

I find myself wishing I could immigrate to the Netherlands, lately. I would miss my family and friends, though. I could probably find work there.
