Personally I'd rather have an engagement ring, or perhaps now an eternity ring. Much more personal than a car.

Can't you save up for your own car?

Not knowing your hubby, I'd say the best thing you could do is discuss it with him if you'd rather have a car than a ring. Assuming he's not a mind reader, that is. In which case he'll already know.

No. Unless you asked him for a car or something, I don't see him doing that at all. I did the proposing, didn't get a ring, and never got any kind of engagement present from him. Don't expect anything or you'll be disappointed.

How long have you been married? Do you currently have a dependable car? Does he? What kind of car do you want? Do you provide any income for the two of you? Can you two afford a new expense? All things that factor in.

Of course, he should get you a car. Go by the car lot and pick out the one you want and let him know.

nope, men have lost the need for the male provider "role"
Its all equal now. you wanted it you got it.
If anything I would expect him to receive the car from you for thinking that instead of a lifelong remembrance like the finger hugger, you would rather something that will rust away in 10 yrs.....jus like the marriage

probably not. and besides, once you are married if you money is together, everything you buy is really together. think about this more deeply.
if he buys you a present it comes out of the money you both have to spend.
you should talk to him about your desire for a car.
you're very independent and you took the initiative to propose, he will likely to expect you to take the initiative on other things you want.
no, don't wait for him. talk to him.

I wouldn't count on it. Go buy yourself the car you want as well as a diamond ring and charge it to his credit card.

no, if you proposed and didn't get a ring you should be the one buying him a car for saying yes.
