Tracey S - I don't think code pink does much concerning gay rights... they are anti-war primarily... wow.

I knew I could count on you to take a simple question and spin it to bash conservatives!! Great job!! You people do such a wonderful service to substantiate all of that which we claim.

They are an insensitive, rash, hate-filled, ignorant group of idiots who get their jollies off of bashing anyone connected to the Bush administration and the military, while cozying up to dictators like Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. They are funded by other far left organizations and George Soros.

They basically hate America. They really do. I'm not just saying that to be dramatic. They HATE America!

I'm not a lib, but I had never heard of them. When I pulled a search, Wikipedia had a picture of them holding a sign that read "Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither."

Ouch. Though I agree with the first half of that statement I'm not so big on the other half.

We seem to be sacrificing our liberties here in the US out of negligence to them. Now there is a faction that would sacrifice our liberty for our security (i.e. National ID cards) but that they deserve neither is just wrong.

Those who are too stupid to learn and understand their liberties and responsibilities that go along with them do need the security of a highly policed state that will protect them in their chosen route of stupidity.

Anyway, that was as far as I got in the learning curve this morning. I think their idea is good, to get involved, have a voice. That is American. They seek "positive social change through creative protest, non-violent direct action, and community involvement."

I do not, however, agree that non-violent action and creative protest will always fix things and change the world. The monks in Myanmar are still under army rule, are they not? They did create quite a stir, however, and perhaps have gotten attention from those who can help. Right now all those who can help are doing is talking. Action is necessary at times.

George Washington said it best: "How soon we forget history... Government is not reason. Government is not eloquence. It is force. And, like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."

I also like Abraham Lincoln's quote; "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

I am aware of Code Pink, I realize it's a group of women out there protesting and fighting for the anti-war movement. I have even visited there websites a few times. (I like there list of documentaries). I've heard about them in the news, when they are protesting and I probably know a person or 2 who belongs to the group.

My personal thoughts are, GO GET EM. I don't know much about the organization, just that they are out there to protest and fight for there cause, which I support.

As a conservative here is my take.
They have Free Speech rights and are free to say what they like.

Since I have the same Free Speech rights and free to say what I like it is time I excerise that right.

Code Pink is bent on the failure of our troops and America. They want this country to be rule by people who are going to take away their rights and make them second class citzens. My prayer is Code Pink fail in their efforts each and ever time.

I happen to like America unlike Code Pink.

I don't know what their stance is or why they are constantly getting themselves arrested. I assume they are from the far-fringe left.

They are a fringe-group of anti-war protesters.
Some of their actions are distasteful and others are counter-productive.
