You haven't seen him in two months and you're just now thinking that you're pregnant? If you've had a period in between you're probably not pregnant. Spend five dollars, take a test, find out its negative, and go on with your life (and USE PROTECTION NEXT TIME). Stop worrying.

the longer you wait, the harder it's going to be to tell them likewise with the abortion. if you haven't spoken to him in 2 months, that would make you 2 1/2 to 3 months pregnant (approx 10-12 weeks). if you are a teen, texas law requires parental consent. likewise, most clinics in texas cannot perform abortions past 12 weeks. anything in the second trimester, but not past 16 wks, must be done in a hospital or ambulatory surgical center. i do know a few people have had abortions. one had to have one done because of medical reasons (she was on meds that definitely caused certain fatal development problems. her baby had no brain), the other was basically for the same reasons as you. both said they'd never do it again. it was painful both physically and emotionally. as far as cost, the one that was a medical necessity was covered by insurance, the other was about $600 if i recall correctly. the longer you wait, the more expensive. abortions, just like any other medical procedure do have risks and side effects which you need to look into as well. you can contact a planned parenthood in your area (which is where i got info about consent and tx law) to find out more info on getting a pregnancy test, cost, procedure, counseling and future birth control so it doesn't happen again.

Repost from Pregnancy Section:
Your ex doesn't need to know anything about this unless you want to tell him.. What you should do is visit your local Planned Parenthood (1-800-230-PLAN). They can help you weigh your options, explain the details, and make the right choice for you. Avoid going to anything called a Crisis Pregnancy Center - these are often run by religious extremists.
Unfortunately, if you are a minor, you need parental consent in Texas. It is, however, legal to have an abortion up until the 24th week. The earlier, the better, though.
Finally, good on you for reporting anyone who comes in here just to yell at you. Rest assured - anti-choice people do not consider women a human being, you are under no obligation to listen to their threats, rants, and abuse.

i had an abortion when was 16 yrs old, because i was WAY too young to have a child and i was with a very bad man that would've hurt the baby, just as he was already hurting me. Anyway, im in canada, so prices and procedures are very different here. But the procedure took a few minutes (to my knowledge), they gave me a gas mask to keep me numb. It feels like mentrual cramps but slightly stronger. (thats how it felt to me, doesnt feel the same depending on how they do it and on the person getting it too) after the procedure, i slept for about an hour (as i passed out from the gas lol) so they let me rest. afterwards, i went home and felt a little dizzy throughout the day. I stayed home the next, to rest and make sure i was ok to go back to work the next day. and then i wetn on with my life. i didn't tell my parents until after the abortion, as it was none of their business, but the father of the baby knew (i was living with him).
the choice is entirely yours to make. The father does have a right to know, but you have the final word on the decision you make. If he wants you to go on with the pregnancy and take care of the baby afterwards, thats up to you as well.
I suggest you take a pregnancy test before you talk to him though, just in case it is something else.
For those who are SO against abortion, i say they should consider some circumstances where you can't always keep the baby. Some of those people sometimes tell me "well, why did u have unprotected sex in the 1st place..." and stuff...well my answer is I DIDN'T! i was on the pill and we wore a condom but it broke. what would those people do (abortion haters) if that situation happened to them huh?!
So girl, the decision is yours to take. If you need to talk more, email me, i will gladly help you.

Even though you haven't been with your ex or seen him in two months, it's still his child and morally he has the right to know. Are you worried about telling him and your family because they may talk you out of it and/or judge you for wanting an abortion? I've never had one, but you also need to think about the emotional side effect of getting one. Will you be able to deal with your decision, regardless of your feeling towards getting an abortion? I ask this because I have a friend who did get one. I would be doing something simple as vacuuming and she would burst into tears. I would look at her crazy, and after questioning her, did she admit to getting one. Also, I have heard that you can develop an infection, so if you get one, make sure you go to a legit doctor. You can also become infertile and not be able to have children later on in life. But as to answering your question about if you need to tell someone, I do think the clinics require you to have someone to drive you home after the procedure. Also, if you are a minor, I think in Texas you have to have parental consent.
I just checked online for a Planned Parenthood in Austin, here's the website info. http://www.plannedparenthood.org/birth-control-pregnancy/abortion-4260.htm
But before you do any of this, go get a pregnancy test, yiou could be stressing for nothing.

If you are going to have an abortion, you don't have to tell anyone other than the clinic staff/doctors and the person who will be taking you to the clinic on the day of your procedure.
Contact your local Planned Parenthood and they will be able to give you all the information that you need.

I'm not going to give you a hard time, but will tell you honestly from experience. I had one when I was younger. I was scared, I didnt know what to do, I was young. It cost $450 dollars, but that may vary from state to state. It was very painful. I'm talking severe pain. I was bed for weeks. Unless you live alone, people will know something is going on. Its not a quick, simple procedure and then you're back to normal. Not at all. Just really think about it. I regret it so much. Seriously.Good Luck.

You have to tell the father, maybe he has a plan to have your baby; if you cannot go back. Try to reach him, but let him know.
If you want an abortion think it a hundred times before, you can have regrets about it, so just be sure, and e mail me.
Good luck! ;D

Firs of all ,I guess that you ARE pregnant second , at least, you `d better talk to your your mom ,because even if you take a friend of yours with you, after all she would know about that, and finally since it sometimes gets dangerous , take care & good luck.
