if you research adaptive radiation, homologous structures (same function but different structured anatomy) and analogous structures (same structure but different function)

in this case, wings of birds, bats and flippers are homologous.

Where do birds fit in this (other than the general structural similarities)? Are you opening it up to non-mammals, then? If so, why not expand it to include wings of pterosaurs and feet of lizards, etc.?
