I'm guessing she isn't a soccer fan? if she is I don't even have to say what I'm thinking. If she isn't ask her if she would like to watch the game with you, if not your best bet is to inexplicably run up to the bathroom, wait in there for a couple of minutes, come out and say you need to go home now. Or have one of your buddies bale you out, have them call your cell and pretend its your boss and tell your friend you have to go do something for him. Thats all I got... Good Luck. GO DC UNITED!

Why not introduce her to the beautfiul game whilst having dinner, and if you are both midweek drinkers, take round an extra couple of beers/ bottles of wine/ bottle of gin - this list is not exhaustive, by way of an apology.
Alternatively, call off saying you forgot the football was on, and re-arrange it and you cook her dinner etc etc etc.

either make an excuse not to go round tonight and say you can come round another time...?
go there and see if she will put the footie on while eating...?
go there eat and come home and watch highlights...?
but dont just go there eat and leg it home again cos that is ruder than not going at all

If they are truly your friend, tell them in all honesty you really want to watch this game.
I would watch it over at your friend's place .
Sit back.....relax....take in a few drinks after dinner....chat with your friend....watch the game......
=)
