This is a hypothetical question, and can only have a hypothetcial answer.
If the moon was made of cheese, it would mean that most of the other heavenly bodies would also be made of food products. The milky way would actually be made of Milky Way andy bars. And on Earth, dirt would actually be made of chocolate. Everyone knows that dogs are not supposed to eat chocolate, because it make them sick. But of course, there's nothing that dogs like to eat more than something they're not supposed to eat.
So, all the dogs would eat the chocolate dirt and get sick and therefore stop chasing cats. The cats, now having the opportunity to jump down from the trees they were hiding form the dogs in, start hunting mice in abundance.
The mice don't like this, so they decide to leave Earth with it's crazy cats and chocolate dirt eating dogs and build themselves dozens of space craft to find a new place to live.
On their way to Mars (made of Mars Bars) the mice stop at the Moon and commence eating its cheesy goodness. Unfortunately, mice can't eat that much cheese. Soon after their hundreds of tiny mousey space ships land, the mice realize that eating this cheese actually causes gas to build up in their stomachs. Since mice can't fart, this gas builds up and they DIE! The mouse emporer (of course they have an emporer. They can't be counted on to run a democracy. They chew through the ballots and nobody gets elected). realizes that they've eaten through a quarter of the moon and lost half of their population.
With great effort they tear themselves away from the cheesy goodness of the moon and find themselves a place to live that has a food source thats more condusive to their little digestive tracts. They finally settle on the rings of Saturn, which are actually made of crackers and peanut butter.
So the moral of the story is, cheese is good but it messes with the tummy.
And the answer to the question is, more mice than the Earth has.

O.k. we have to do some math here, and use some reasonable estimates.
1 mouse eats about 8 grams of food per day, and has an average lifespan of about one year.
Therefore, it can be expected that one mouse can eat 2.92 kilograms of food in its lifetime.
The Earth's Moon ways 7.3477 x 10 to the 22nd power kilograms.
So, the number of mice needed eat the Moon if made of cheese would be 7.3477 x 10 to the 22nd power kilograms divided by 2.92 kilograms. I don't have a scientific calculator on me, so I can't make the final calculator.
Suffice to say, that's a lot of mice.

Many moons in the past, while people knew little or no approximately our universe and prompt image voltaic gadget, it grew to become into concept that the moon grew to become into made up of eco-friendly cheese! OOOO, YUK, of all styles of cheese to make a moon out of it had to be eco-friendly cheese? If I have been around then, i could have chosen an orange cheese like cheddar. Why? by way of fact i think of cheddar is beddar!

I'm seeing some great mathematics here, but even given your conditions that the moon is made of cheese, it couldn't happen. The moon would still be a airless wasteland which would kill any mouse inventive enough to get there. QED
