actually, i've heard that having your tonsils removed is way worse than the appendix...no lie...i was laid up for 2 weeks and still could eat for another 4.

No I don't. I got mine removed in 2000 when I was 13. Yeah, I agree about it being the worst pain I have ever had. I thought it was funny how the doctor said that it wouldn't hurt very much and that it would just feel like a sore throat. Well it didn't. I felt like I swallowed a bunch of razor blades. I have also had my wisdom teeth removed and that was also really awful. I would say that I was in agony with both but maybe a little more with the tonsillectomy.

Mais oui. Everything is intact, and I have heard that surgeries like having tonsils or appendix removed are hardest on adults, so hopefully I will get to keep them to the bitter end!

I still have mine....the only time I was ever diagnosed with tonsilitis, I was very scared that they were going to take them out (it must have been at least 20 years ago)....but they didn't...and I still have them.

I had mine removed when I was a kid. I don't remember much except that I got to eat alot of ice cream which I thought was cool.

I have not, but I get a really sore throat about a couple of months.......(like right now)....... It's so red in the back. I just wonder if that has anything to do with my tonsils.

Tey say the older you are, the more painful it is getting them out. My son was 17 and he was laid up for nearly 2 weeks. But he feels better and doesn't get sore throats very often anymore.

I had mine out when I was 16. I think it greatly improved my bj ability. If you want pain try giving away over half of your liver now that causes considerable discomfort.
