like "black" isn't a politically correct term to use to describe a person from Africa or somewhere like that but if a person says "black" do you care that its not politically correct or do you just care about what they meant when they said it??

I am much more concerned about what the person meant. Today everything has to be so politically correct that it gets under my skin. We are all human, we all think and act naturally. The terms change so often I get confused as to which one I should be using and when.

My friends who are African,Jamaican etc, prefer to be called black, rather than brown or half caste.I don't know who decides whats politically correct but a lot of the time I don't think they consult the majority of the people or issues thoroughly when deciding what is and is not politically correct!
I therefore say what I think best describes something/one and would rather wait to be told by the person in question if it's offensive rather than the PC bloody brigade telling me it's wrong.

PC goes out the window when a grandstand is named ....."the n!gger brown" stand in honour of a bloke who played out his entire career in a small country town by a bunch of do-gooders wanting to replace it - who never knew him, never watched a game, or bothered to find out it was the name he himself elected and was known by.
He didn't seem bothered at the time, he just played footy with his mates.
I'm all for what the person meant!!!

Personally, I could give a rat's behind about PC. If it's a private conversation, that is. If we're in public and something very inappropriate is said, then I would be concerned about offending others.

If its the easiest way to explain something... i'm gonna say it.
People have taken "correctness" WaYyyYyYyy to far. Everyone is so afraid to hurt each others feelings.

Good question. Sometimes it seems society is more concerned with scoring points than listening to the INTENTIONS of what was said.
