Many people believe so because they seem to have memories that are vivid that you know they've never been to or experienced. It's like a magical, instaneous connection to someone you've know all your life and you've just met. Perhaps in another time, you were here with that person before but in a different role. Do you ever feel like you came from another time, place, era, ethnicity, that you played a role of something very well but you didn't know where the source of your knowledge came from? Many believe in this for whatever the reason may be. Others don't believe in this for whatever the reason may be. If you want to find our about your past lives, you can log on to different sites to find out some legitimate sources. Google and look up: Dr. Brian Weiss M.D as he specializes in past life regressions and therapies but is also a very kind, gentle natured doctor who is not at all kookie or a quack. His books and workshops are amazing. I hope that this aids you a bit on this journey. I know that I've been here before. I know that my husband and daughter have been here before with me but as different roles. I know because intuitively, without knowing consciously, I subconsciously know, feel, have seen, and believe that past lives do exist and they do affect our present lives dearly. Past Lives and Astrology are actually closely related. Some astrologers suggest that from a karmic point of view, an individual's Moon placement indicates the kind of lifestyle he/she led in the past life and determines the kind of life lessons he/she has chosen to undergo this lifetime.
Alternatively, take a look at your North & South Node placements in your birthchart. The North Node indicates the life lessons you have come to learn in this present lifetime, while the South Node indicates the 'comfort zones' areas, those qualities you were so accustomed to in your past life that they are actually hindering you from progress in this present lifetime.

Before we tread into the domain of Past Life... we need to understand the present and the future carefully. Before indulging in our Past Life we also need to know the purpose of life journey as a whole.
Starting from the beginning... in the chronological order as the evolution took place... we shall find that we started the journey as an Amoeba (single cell formation)... this was the first manifestation which occurred in the life of every Human Being.
Traveling further into the Past Life we find the evolutionary tendencies existing within every living being prompted this single cell formation to multiply into two cell formation and finally multi-cell organisms. (All these form the core of Past Life of every Human Being).
With passage of time... the multi-cell organism evolved into an insect, then into plant life, an animal and finally as a Human Being. It takes an average of about 7.3 million manifestations before every journey culminates into the level of a Human Being. A long journey of about 80 earthly million years!
This is by no standard a small journey by our Soul Atman existing within every living being. Here while talking of Past Life we also need to understand that the journey is being undertaken by the Soul within every living being and our body... the manifest from is but the outer covering for every Soul Atman which is necessitated for our soul Atman cannot remove the dross from within on its own. I believe we have past lives.
I've heard of two ways you can find out:
Past Life Regretion (hypmotism)
and a way you can basically trance yourself.
I tried it once....I got a book on disk and basically let the person reading it walk me through...
I couldn't tell if it worked or if I made up what I wanted to know.

I believe that we do. We reincarnate again and again just as we continue to attend school until we accomplish the level of education that we can afford or desire. So it is with past lives. We continue much the same until we are satisfied with our education. I continue to learn. I'm gonna live forever.
