Spring Ahead, Fall Back is how I have always remembered it. You are getting up an hour later the first day.

When standard time kicks in and we turn the clocks back in the fall, we will get up an hour later. In the spring, when we return to daylight savings time, we will turn the clocks ahead and get up an hour earlier than we were getting up on standard time.

In Fall we turn the clocks back an hour. That means you wake up an hour later. I like that.

try to remember this spring ahead, fall back
in the spring you will set your clocks ahead by 1 hour there fore you are losing an hour, in the fall to will fall back 1 hour so you will be gaining an hour,
in short in the spring you will lose 1 hour of sleep
in the fall you will gain an hour of sleep
hope this helps
