Our selectors know nothing better than making the player, who is in form and performing continuously, the captain. Now that Dhoni is so, he is the captain. Supposing he loses a few matches in a row and Yuvraj continues to perform in the same manner for some more time, he would replace Dhoni, no doubt.
If it is not Yuvraj, it an be any Tom, **** and Harry, but this is how captains are selected.

He don't have to be the captain to get the recogonition

I prefer yuvi as captain than dhoni.
yuvi is better player than dhoni. shot selection of yuvi is good, he improved well in that.
according to me if sachin out, i have hopes on only yuvi to win the match.
now uthappa is good, he also good connector of the ball compared to dhoni.
