I don't know but I've been told it can go into the cervix during sex if it's long enough. As to why some women like bigun's well ask yourself why some men like big breasts and some don't. Personal preference ya know.

I do know that is is not necessary for either pleasure or reproductive purposes that it touch the cervix (and the hole to the uterus is so small that it can't go through, nor does it need to). I wondered how common it is too because I know it sometimes does and I expect it's fairly common but some women say it hurts or even bleeds when it happens to them, I think some women might like the feeling though. As most vaginas are ony 6 inches long I dunno how a really long one would fit in there without running into the cervix. But about girls preferring big it's a myth, well some girls seem to like abnormally long but for most girls it wouldn't fit, and most guys are 5-6 anyway. Most women also seem to say girth provides more pleasure. Plus the main pleasure centres are about 2 inches into the vagina and it's not sensitive if at all further down. I would say some guys would reach the cervix but I guess it depends on the position and thrusts and size of each partner with regards to how much it gets hit. I agree with whoever said to ask this in the question box during class. It's not such a big deal though you don't need to know it and when you have sex you'll only know your own experiences anyway. You're a guy right? It's pretty good you know about the cervix and all because a lot of kids don't. Keep learning. There's a lot of information online, if you can successfully sort through the dodgy stuff.

Yes. When a penis ejaculates it needs to as close to the cervix so it can reach the egg cell implanted in the top of the cervix. The vagina and the outside part of the cervix has normal spermicides and acid that easily kills invading bacteria including sperm. This is a natural defense system of the female reproductive system. with regards to size, some women do like big ones maybe because they like to be stuffed (sorry for the word) in every space of their vagina, this gives them more pleasure because it hits certain points that produce their orgasm without added aid of exerting pressure, like position changing. This varies from different women. Good luck!

OK, I'm going to answer your question and I am going to do it on an adult level, because since you are wondering and posting this on a message board, it must be a real question in your mind. Sex is NOTHING to be ashamed of. When a person is old enough and responsible enough it is not shameful to want answers to questions. It's a normal part of life, just as breathing is.
The penis is not MEANT to hit the female's cervix. There is no purpose for that to happen. The cervix is simply the lower portion of the uterus where sperm enters and menstrual fluid is released, and babies pass through the dilated cervix at birth. The length of a penis has no bearing either. You will hear a lot of guys at school brag about the length of their penis I'm sure. Length really does not matter either. It is the girth or diameter of the penis that produces the most desired results for a female during sex. Why you ask? Because when the diameter of the penis is larger and thicker it tends to tug or pull on the clitoris (the female sexual organ equivalent to a penis). Tugging on the clitoris causes orgasm. So, needless to say, it doesn't matter how long your penis is. This is all physioligic facts. I hope I answered your questions.
**P.S.** The persons answer above me sounds great, but that is not truly what happens. It doesn't matter if the sperm is ejaculated outside the vagina, a woman can STILL get pregnant because the sperm travel in the vaginal fluids and swim to their intended destination. Also, when a man ejaculates the ejaculate does not just ooze or spill out of his penis, it shoots out therefore shooting in the direction of the cervix. Granted the more sperm in close proximity to the cervix the more chance the female will become pregnant, but it is not necessary by ANY stretch of the imagination. And there is no "built in" system to prevent pregnancy. The female body is MADE to conceive and conceive in some pretty strange circumstances it does, too. There is nothing in the female fluids that kill off sperm. Just the opposite...the sperm seek it out for a faster mode of transportation to the intended site. Those little boogers are quick and are on ONE mission and that mission is to impregnate a woman.
**ANOTHER UPDATE** Where some of these people get these ideas I will never know and to state them as fact is even more bizarre. Above my post a person wrote that the penis has to get into the uterus and goes through the cervix opening. That cannot be further from the truth. NO THE PENIS DOES NOT GO INSIDE THE UTERUS. The cervical opening is strictly for sperm to enter, menstrual fluid to be released and for babies to pass out of to be born. If this person learned what they spoke of in Sex Education, they must have had some pretty ignorant teachers.

Giving birth to a new life is indeed a blessing which almost every woman would wish to have. How to get pregnant naturally https://tr.im/Xjfiz
Enjoying the feeling of motherhood and raising a family would surely be a couple’s dream. Some get it naturally, while for some others things don’t seem to work as they desire. These reasons which stop a women from conceiving can be due to either physical reasons or truly physiological.

For women, having our cervix hit during sex can be painful. Try to avoid that.

First let me just say I think that 13 years old is waaay too young to be having sex. So, I hope you're just trying to get some general education, not asking with plans to start having sex any time soon.
I'm not anti-sex by any means, but you need to be old enough and mature enough to be able to handle the consequences of your actions. Are you ready to have a baby at this age?
As for your question, obviously you are looking at some anatomy books and trying to figure things out. I suppose that's a good start for your curious mind.
Let me just answer by saying the reason that women are classically said to prefer more endowed males is because they like a feeling of fullness inside of them. A smaller penis just doesn't give that same feeling.

Plz. just don't have sex yet. Touching the cervix isn't the purpose of it. Touching other areas is.
