Hi,
I just bought a 2-port KVM Switch. Model: DD 202. The problem I`m having is: One of my computers is Windows XP and the other is Vista. When I set it up, the mouse and keyboard will only work with the XP computer. When I press the button, I can then switch to Vista mode. It is all there on the screen, except the mouse and keyboard don`t work. The System requirements reads: DOS; Windows3.X/95/98/9SE/2000/ME/XP/NT;Netware;Unix;Linux.
My wife says this may not be compatible with Vista, probably because it was made before Vista was introduced. But when I press the button, there I have Windows Vista on my screen. If it was`nt compatible, would it just not work at all, or would there be a message appearing on screen saying that it does not meet the requirements?
I am pretty sure that it does work and that I am just doing something wrong. The user manual is very basic, with the instructions consisting of just 4 lines.
Could anyone please give me some advice?
Thanks.
Tony.

Try booting each computer ONE AT A TIME. KVM should be switched to the PC that is booting. This will ensure that PC recognizes that a keyboard and mouse are connected when booting. Once BOTH PCs detect keyboard and mouse at startup, you can freely switch between the two anytime.
