first it was Gerry who 'murdered' Maddy, now people have switched their attention to Kate

Theres a lot of users on here who have been answering/asking question regarding the McCanns since day one.
But i find it amazing that their theories for the case have changed so dramatically!

Can anyone remember when people were saying it was Gerry who done it
and Kate was nothing more than a battered wife?

tut tut to those who cant or wont stick to one story
I have respect for people who believe in something so strongley and their opinons dont falter at the first sign of media speculation

snaffle
comparing this case to that of progression in our country is just a tactful way of excusing the fact that so many are swayed by the media!!!

If people didn't change their opinions then you my dear wouldn't have the right to vote, children would still be up chimneys, and black people would still be enslaved

It's called progress, are you saying that's a bad thing?

**It's also a way of saying that life isn't like CSI and that elements of a case aren't immediately available. Investigation is an organic process and everyone seems to expect it to be wrapped up within a couple of weeks which is extremely unrealistic. I have my theory on this case, the main thread of which hasn't changed but elements of information that come in to the public arena add or take away from it. All the press put forward is speculation and all the McCanns put forward (when they're not meant to talk) is obviously biased. The people responsible for her death know who they are and the truth will be out eventually. Hopefully at that point Madeleine will be given dignity, until that point people can, and will speculate.

Yes I remember back at the start when people on here thought it was Gerry, in an act of quick temper.
I was shocked to think it may be Kate, as I wouldn't have thought he would cover for her, whereas I knew she would be forced to cover for him.
It did seem she was quiet and he did all the talking in the start, that is true. doesn't mean battered wife, I never thought that.
tut tut to those who can't see that peoples opinions can develop. Who wants an opinion that doesn't allow for movement.

*edit* well I dont change my opinion often, I am sticking with my theory that the PJ are correct.

whom said i have changed my mind?

i didn't say it was gerry or kate that murdered the child

i did find their tripping around the world hard to stomach and gerry's flippant remarks about his mcmansion's garden

i have not changed my story but others clearly have
murat is fast being replaced by the ocean club manager as the suspect of choice (several posts today)

so who is changing their story? - is it anyone is guilty unless it is k and g?

I haven't said oh its Gerry who did it, or no, I have changed my mind its Kate, as we don't even know what "it" is. All I have said, is that I think the parents were in the wrong for leaving the kids alone and going out to eat and drink, that is neglect, and I haven't changed my mind about that.

I just find it amazing that so many people have time to follow each aspect of the McCann case - I have a life.

I think their actions were very suspicious, and noone would leave their child alone at that age for that amount of time, but I don't think they are guilty. The portugese police really haven't got anything on them, they just wanted somebody to confess so its all wrapped up!!

Not just first Gerry & now Kate...Lisa D...

There are those who accused them of using the fund.
That was refuted.
There are those who accused them of sedating the babies.
That was refuted.
Once refuted, the accuser coolly & promptly turns to a new accusation without any remorse or guilt.

Methinks some folks swing from theory to theory like monkeys on a tree... That reminds me...the accusation of the McCanns being swingers was also refuted.

as the evidence has changed so has opinion as we in fact can not influence this case as most people on here have nothing to do with it then our mere speculation really does not matter.

I've never accused them of anything more than child neglect, I just don't like the fact that this is slowly becoming more and more about them than their daughter, through their media manipulation. I just wish they would try and find her, instead of releasing statements every few days.

Shouldn't you be wagging your finger at the media? After all that's where everone gets their info.
And to be fair Gerry and Kate changed their stories too.
