At first I believed the McCann's story and supported them. Then their behaviour, Gerry's blog, their coldness and the "fund" made me doubt it. Later, the evidence that points to them and their unwillingless to answer the PJ's questions, their PR and Pinochet's lawyers put the nail in their coffin as far as I am concerned.

Nope not at least, I still hope they will find Madeline, preferably alive.

BUT

The only "assumption" I ever had and still have: She is dead and I hope they find her body soon, so that she will have the proper burial she deserves. The thought of a little body being dumped somewhere freaks me out totally. These unanswered questions (has she been abused or raped, did she suffer before she died) is a reason to drive any parent insane. These are the questions that bother me, right from the start, and these are the only questions I want answered. I couldn't care less who did it, as long as they find the guilty person / s.

These accusations about "the parents did it" / "the parents didn't do it" / "How about the Hotel Manager" etc turning into a real circus. And it makes me sick.

It hasn't really. There may be more than meets the eye, not just in regard to the McCanns, but this is like a jigsaw puzzle, which is what I thought in the first place. We have all the pieces, or we may have some from other puzzles or may be missing some, but we need to figure out where the other pieces are, where the other pieces belong, and how to piece the puzzle together to make a picture.

My thoughts haven't changed as the story hasn't really developed that much as it is only Media Speculation at this stage. When the real evidence comes out, maybe things will change but until then, I would still like to think they didn't do it.

To be honest I was sad for the parents until I heard they had left her alone, which was probably later the same day. I then was angry at the situation, believing the abduction theory.
I don't know when exactly I thought K and G were to blame, but I certainly thought it was more G than K. Since the PJ now offer the theory Kate accidentally killed her with an overdose, I can believe it, due to the facts I have read, which I know are leaked from " a source" but I do think no smoke without fire.

My opinion has really changed too much since the beginning. I felt the parents were involved then and I still think the same. The only difference is that I hoped Madeleine might be found alive, now I believe she is probably dead.

I don't feel that anything really new has come to light lately. It is the same stuff said in a different way to sell papers. I have always felt the same about the McCanns but my opinions just get stronger as time goes on. I am still interested in others opinions espescially those who opinions differ from mine. Because you never know....I just have opinions.

my original thoughts have not changed but have been reinforced by the unusual behaviour of some of the suspects - at the time and since

has their ever been a more bizarre case?
not the child disappearance - but the way the principal characters have conducted themselves?

My initial instinct that Maddy's parents are guilty of neglect (leaving her and siblings) and of muder have not changed. I firmly believe they are wholly responsible for what happened to that little girl and am positive that the truth will be revealed soon.
