Antisemitism was spread around the world by that time. (Antisemitism spread because of the death of Christ and was also condoned by many because of that.) It seems to be something that people rather forget. People had all kinds of odd reasons for hating Jews, money being a main reason. The Jews were often caricatured as money hungry and greedy. Since the Jews were easy targets they were also blamed for almost everything that non Jews didn't like or things that went wrong. Hitler wasn't the only one to hate Jews the idea was already there.
Hitlers mother died from cancer and Hitler was a mommy's boy. The doctor was Jewish and some thinks that Hitlers hate started to brew even more because of his mothers death. (That Hitler convinced the doctor to use treatments that probably shortened his mother life seems to be something that Hitler ignored.)
The thought of a superior race was also spread around the world at that time. Once again people try to forget about it, but it is a fact. Many nations were looking for the "perfect person" and how to "breed" them.
What makes Hitler more unique is that he got the power and the fanatic twisted mind to take the whole thing to a completely new level.

From what I've read the Jews living in Austria at the time when Hitler was growing up were a closed society and as a whole wealthy. .
.
For many years during the middle ages the Catholic church ruled Europe in the sense that Kingdoms were weak in governmental abilities. The Catholic Church forbade usury or lending money with interest. Many Jews became rich because they were the only sect that were allowed to charge interest for borrowing money.
.
Young Hitler began to hate and resent the Jews for their closed society and for the more affluent lifestyle that they led compared to his. He saw the Jews as the ones with money and he felt they used their influence to gain advantages and discriminate against other Austrians in all facets of life at the time.
.
He began to dream up ideas of a continuation of a war that started in ancient times between the Jews and the Aryans, two tribes of Israel.

The jews controlled a lot of the money and finance and not only Hitler took a dislike to them; most of the rest of the world disliked them also. They worked together, worshipped together and stuck together. Naturally the rest of the people resented this; they seemed to be the selected scapegoats of humanity. Hitler capitalized on the idea and did what most other people wanted to do. The lesson being; better to blend into the herd.

He needed a scapegoat and the Jews had been one for millenia.
The Jews in Germany and Austria were typically better fixed financially.
They kept to themselves.
Read your textbook. He hated just about everybody - including his own people.

Why did Charles Manson hate movie stars? We've all got something we dislike but at a certain level of insanity, it becomes an obsession that can cost millions of people their lives. To be really fair about this question though, I believe Hitler thought the Jewish people were in control of the world's money & his rational (if you can call it that) thinking was that if he destroyed them, the problem would be solved. Just FYI, he hated Catholics (of which he was once one) and members of the Masonic order. All of these groups have something in common - God. Now, like me, you're probably wondering if there was even a deeper meaning to his madness.

because he wanted to create the "master race" in other words he wanted everyone to be the same. to be included in the "master race" you were supposed to have blonde hair and blue eyes and you had to be of certain religions. although hitler himself didn't fit into this criteria as he had dark hair. so he was a bit of a hipocrit really. but basically he just didn't like the fact that they were DIFFERENT, and had seperate views to him. he didn't like people that thought differently to him.

he hated jews first of all because he blamed them for germany losing world war 2. just because he wanted a scapegoat to blame somebody. he had a way with words and was soon enough able to concvince most of germany of the same. also he hated anybody who he though were inferior. idk about polish... but this includes gays, transexuals, (obviously) jews, and more. he killed over 6 million jews, and also over 1 million other people.
oh also his grandma wasnt a jew its a commen misconseption.
