Fresno state is currently ranked #2 in the WAC behind hawaii. Fresno state's overall record is 5-2, where hawaii is 7-0. Both teams are undefeated in conference. Last week hawaii went into 4th overtime with San Jose State. Just this past saturday, fresno state played San Jose and beat them 30-0.
If you compare their two schedules, Fresno state has played the harder games, losing only two Oregon (Currently ranked 5th nationally) and Texas A&M Who was ranked 22nd at the time of the game, and won in triple overtime after a controversial call on the field in the second overtime about a bulldogs touchdown.
So, should fresno state be #1 in WAC?

Someone asked why I didn't show Hawaii's other wins, that I was trying to one side it. Let's look at hawaii's schedule so far.
Northern Colorado W 63-6
at Louisiana Tech W 45-44
at UNLV W 49-14
Charleston Southern W 66-10
at Idaho W 48-20
at Utah State W 52-37
at San Jose State W 42-35
List one GOOD TEAM that they have had a convincing win over. Also name a team that both schools have played, that Hawaii has performed better against.

Oh, and a lot of people would argue that our second string QB is better than brandstater, I'm not one of them, but a lot of people feel that way.
As for brennan, I feel he is way over rated. The 24 year old senior needs to realize he's not as good as they set him up to be. Hawaii has not yet been tested this season against a team that's good. Fresno state has been. When they face each other, I'm predicting a win for FSU.

Your example makes no sense, don't exaggerate what I'm saying. Also, you start it with "troy beats oklahoma" and than try to finish it by saying "so therefore troy should easily beat oklahoma!" Well you already said they have, so how is that proving me wrong?

How come you don't list Hawaii's other wins? You are skewing the picture towards your Bulldogs.
If Colt Brennan is healthy, Hawaii will kill Fresno. Hawaii is scraping by without their best QB in perfect shape. Wonder if Fresno would beat Boise with their second string QB?
Fresno will jump over Hawaii if they play head to head and win.

In a conference like the WAC, which is very weak (Utah State, San Jose State, New Mexico State, and Idaho couldn't beat a good Division III team), you almost have to go unbeaten to get any notoriety. Give kudos to Fresno State for playing this year (and many years in the past) some good teams on the road that Hawaii and Boise State wouldn't play, but in most people's eyes, they're not #2 in the WAC, they're #3. Hawaii, Boise, and Fresno are all still unbeaten in conference, and fortunately, unlike certain things in college football, that all gets decided on the field, as Fresno hosts Boise on Friday, and both Fresno and Boise go to Hawaii in November.
Want to prove you're #1? Prove it on Friday and on November 10.

Its all rock and roll unless we run the table the rest of the year. We have to win against Boise on Friday and Hawaii for sure. One loss and its over.

Troy beat Oklahoma State, Oklahoma State beat Kansas State, Kansas State beat Colorado, Colorado beat Oklahoma, therefore, Troy should easily beat Oklahoma and they should be rated higher! Forgedda 'bout it!!! It will be determined who is beater when they meet on the field on November 10th.
