However, i need to go because i missed time off work last week due to a migraine but am still getting them but can't afford to take anymore time off.

I also want to go on the pill but i heard that a lot of doctors will not give you the pill if you suffer from migraines.

I've already tried mini pills and they weren't great, i had problems with my contacts on Microgynon and i have a phobia of needles so the depo shot is out of the question! lol

What shall I say when i go to the doctor because i really need the sick note, but at the same time i need to go on the pill?

There are some brands of the pill that work better for those who have migraines. One of them is a pill called Mircette. I would recommend also asking your doctor for a referral to a neurologist (doctor that diagnoses and treats disorders and diseases of the brain and nerves) that specializes in the treatment of migraines. Seeing one of these doctors may be able to help you find a treatment for your migraines.

Headaches / migraines can be side effects of the majority of contraceptive pills so it really can be limiting. The only thing I would say about the depo though is that there's no reason for you to see the injection; you have it in your backside and feel nothing if your Nurse is any good.
