I like white. Christmas is a time to express joy and the simplicty of birth. Why all the big blow up ballons in the yard and bright colored lights I don't understand.
Some people have truly forgotten the true meaning of Christmas.
p.s.
my new next door neighbor spends $9,000 a year for his Christmas display. Thank goodness we have 10 ft privacy fences and a huge lot. I wouldn't have to turn on any lights in my house if it were closer to his during the holidays.
I like white and simple.

I put 1200 white lights on our tree. Can't stand the colored ones.... The white looks so pretty when you have the lights off in the house. I love to sit and look at our tree and all the ornaments on it- the white lights make it look so soft and pretty.
Here's a question for you....
Do you string lights from the bottom up or top down?

Depends. On the tree or on the outside of the house? Or on a tree outside of the house?
Coloured lights are not tacky as it's part of the season. Keeping them up after Jan 1 though, that is tacky lol

White ones are best, because they are quite classy! But coloured ones are fun too, especially for children, because Christmas decorations are all about being tacky - there's no other time in the year when you have a good excuse for decorating your home with complete and utter 'tack'! :)

I like my tree in Blue and White lights the rest of the room and windows in White

White ones, hate the tacky coloured ones, white are much more sophisticated.

I prefer colors, and am always on the home tour during the Christmas season...so apparently others like colors too. Decorate the way that suits you...and let others do the same without being insulting. Nothing wrong with being unique

I definitely think white, because they match everything better. If they are on your tree you can have different decorations without it being to busy. If you think they are a bit boring, get plain white lights and flashing white lights.

white lights are plain but effective if used in the right way, coloured lights are ok but used to many and they can look tacky

I guess Im tacky because I like the purple ones.... all white gets too boring around town when everyone has them
