I got mine two weeks ago and I am a UAE resident. It costs Dhms 2,199 (US$599.00) and comes with two wireless controls and two games: Resistence - Fall of Man and Motor Sport. Go for it.

60 GB PS3 costs about 2499 Dhs,40 GB costs around 1799 Dhs.

when it was first launched in March 07, the price was 2,499 AED

Not sure about the price now. Should be more or less the same.
