if your husband bought you breast implants can the judge make you pay for half or all the cost if it was a gift in marriage ?

hello kitty!

i imagine a judge could do anything he/she wanted to do however it sounds unlikely that a judge would do that.

there are a lot of other issues about a divorce and the best thing is to do is for everyone to be reasonable.

Breast implants are cosmetic. I believe it can only be viewed as a gift. However, the cost of it may be figured into the cost of shared assets upon division if it is a recent operation, should the court find he paid for it with funds that were distributable.

Well...don't know if this is a serious question or not but it made me laugh...I don't think the court would determine that your implants are "assets" which would be the test for any financial treatment in the settlement (unless maybe you're a stripper and they enhance (pun intended) your ability to make a living. My guess would be "no", you wouldn't have to pay half...great question though!
