I'm considering taking yasmin but realized that some people actually had problems with it..
What are the side effects of it and is it ok?
Other then yasmin.. are there any other pills that i can consider?

There a heaps and heaps of birth control pills out there. You should see your doctor. They can all have side effects.
They all seem to react differently in different people. I come here a lot and see people every day either complaining about or praising Yasmin. Probably more positive than negative, but I had a friend who didn't like it and went off it. Some of her friends like it though. It's so different in individuals. I would say bring it up with your doctor and if they think it's a good idea then you can give it a try to see how it goes, that's the only way you'll find out. Good luck.

I have tried Yasmin for 6 months in 2006 and had problems with adjusting during the first week of use then things settled down. One of the things I noticed in the first week of use is the mood swings that got taken care of by taking B Complex. I later had to go off of it for a different reason.
One of the brands of pills that I have tried and liked was Lo/Ovral. Another one I found helpful was one called Desogen. If you are looking for pills lower in hormone doses one I found very good was Mircette.
Some of the side effects that some women have noticed with Yasmin is weight gain but I had the opposite side effect. I lost nearly 10 lbs while on the medication.

Yasmin is the first pill i've ever taken and i've been on it for about 2 months now. The side effects for me were minimal..the best one being slightly larger breasts..however recently i've found that i cry alot for no reason at all, so i'm thinking about changing to another pill. Some people dont get any side effects at all though..my friend is taking yasmin and she loves it. I'd recommend trying it and see if it works for you =]

I took Yasmin and I liked it...I actually lost a few pounds when taking it......I had not side effects....you can check it out on the website www.yaz.com Hopefully that will answer some of your questions...
