When asked " When was the last time you talked with Madeleine?" the reaction was very strange Susan grabbed hold of Brians hand and started squeezing his finger really hard as if to stop him from saying anything. She controlled the whole interview a little like Gerry does.
When asked if they belive the McCanns are implicated Brian begins by touching his heart then subconsiously runs his hand across his neck in a cut throat gesture.
The experts on the panel agree that the grandparents want to believe that Madeleine is alive but in their heart they don't. Especially Brian who seems a broken man. They feel that Brian knows in his heart that the McCanns are implicated. This lovely, sincere,caring and dignified couple are going through hell. They show genuine emotion and pain. Kates father is desperately ill and it was painful to watch him during the interview. My heart goes out to them both. They have lost the light of their lives and I feel desperately sorry for them both.

From what you are saying it sounds like the grandparents are in denial and that they may have their suspicions about K & G.
If I were the McCanns and my parents were being torn apart by Maddy's disappearance then the last thing I would have wanted them to do is to suffer the stress of a TV interview purely to make me seem like a nice innocent person.

Its very sad for the Grandparents. Not only have they lost their grand daughter, but most likely their daughter too. Their whole family unit has been shattered by this. I hope the police get to the bottom of the mystery soon.

Its nice that someone can empathise so whole heartedly with Madeleine's Grandparents. They need all the empathy & support available.
i don't agree that Susan grabbed hold of Brian's hand in an attempt to hush him or control the interview. i believe that she did grab hold of his hand & clutch at it, for support, emotional support. The last time they spoke with their precious Madeleine is oblivously a very very tender & emotional area for them. Naturally, she needed support.
As much as losing Madeleine hurts them, i'm sure accusations against their daughter Kate hurt them just as much. Its really like rubbing salt in their wounds...Brians gestures are obvious manifestations of his discomfort & anger & grief at these accusations.
Reading more into it is nothing short of a insinuation based on nothing but spite.

I also feel for them, i think they are in a terrible position, and Brian truly seems like a broken man, this could finish him.

Too many assumptions, too few facts.
People read into this kind of thing what they want to. Why on earth would anyone bring in so called body reading experts when they interview the grandparents, who are obviously clear of any wrongdoing? Someone reaching out and touching your hand isn't necessarily a sign of control - it could be of comfort, realising that someone is hurt and in pain, and stretching out a hand to share that pain.
"They feel that Brian knows in his heart that the McCanns are implicated." Sorry - that is outrageous.
I agree with your last comments though.

ok now really this whole mccann thing is really bothering me.i've read all the news papers and watched the reports and read alot of absolute garbage on YA.
heres what i wanna know, how stupid would you have to be to not notice a woman carrying a corpse out to the car??? the portugese police insist that it could not have been an abduction because someone would have seen her being carried off??? Why has no one seen the corpse???
Ah... but it would only take 3 mins to dispose of the body... yes, if it were a cold blooded killing, but if it was your baby there is no way you would have been able to control yourself like that!!!
This spanish documentary is ridiculous!!! at the end of the day no one can speculate what happened, and there is no way in hell ANYONE will be convicted now because there is no evidence!!! The fact that Kates mum held her husbands hand is nothing! the fact that her dad held his heart when maddie was mentioned is NOTHING!!! at the end of the day by the sounds of it they were just looking for things that were 'strange' well i'm inclined to say that if you were acting normally in this situation it is very strange...
If i went back to my apartment and saw that my daughter was not there or in the general vacinity then i'd probably think the worst. And aas for Gerry waiting an hour before saying Maddie was abducted well i say that is probably been him assuming that she had just wandered off. they probably spent that hour looking for her!!! and by the sounds of it they had practically all the resort looking for her!!!
I really think you all need to stop this witch hunt against the parents because at the end of the day its not helping any one!!! You all read too many tabloids!!!
