I gave birth in july and have been breastfeeding ever since, I was wondering when am i gonna have my menstruation.??? Till today, I still have not period, and I heard, when your menstration comes, you kind of stop producing milk.. its that true..???

It's not true in the slightest. You can and will produce milk as long as you need to. In poorer countries, it is not uncommon for women to produce milk for up to five years or more. In developed countries, many women will breastfeed for around one to two years. It's only after you stop breastfeeding that you will stop producing milk. However, once you have breastfed, you can produce milk as and when needed.

This is quite natural. Nothing to worry. My grandmother had her periods only after 2 years after each child birth (she had 8 children). I have heard that this is a kind of body mechanism, a kind of natural contraception. This has nothing to do with breast milk production. But still, I would recommend seeing a doctor to be on the safer side.

i had my baby is december, shes 10 months and im breastfeeding, i got my 1st period last week!

i breastfed my other kids till they were 2 years old, my milk never changed they still drank with no problem and it never ran out or tasted funny, xxxxxxxxxx

breastfeeding can sometimes surpress your menstural cycle but just because your perriod resumes doesnt mean that your milk supply will decrease. just be patient e veryone is different. i breastfed til my boy was almost 2 and my menstural cycle resumed 6 weeks afta i had him with no affect to my milk supply! gud luck hun x

some times it can take month to start after having a baby you should see the doc and talk to them they should be able to help you
