There was a panel of experts who analised the interview and they all felt that the grandparents were being used to do PR for G and K. Especially Kate's father who is obviously very ill and was not really in a condition to do the interview. Susan says that not only does Kate dream about Madeleine which is to be expected but she also has halucinations where she sees Madeleine walking down the stairs. There were doctors on the panel and they mentioned that it is known that Kate has psychological problems and was under treatment BEFORE the holiday and taking medicaments for this problem.
The grandparents often spoke of Madeleine in past tense. When asked to send a message to the "kidnapper" they both immediately look down at the floor. They don't look into the camera to give the message which is VERY strange as it is normal to look to the camera to give the appeal more weight. An expert in body language also analised the interview with some interesting results .........

i think this was done to gain more public sympathy for the mccann's. if kate is having halucinations of madeleine walking down the steps ...it's a sign about her state of mind. yet again, there has been alot of reports about kate's apparents health condition and now halucinations??? i think the pr is putting things in place should the occasion rise then it would be said that kate's unfit to return to portugal.

I just found that I missed this part 3 earlier on. It all sounds very odd to me. You say that Kate was under treatment before the holiday for psychological problems... interesting. And yes it is very strange that the g parents didn't take this opportunity to appeal to the kidnapper. I wonder just how much they know ? I think this case is made even more sad when Kate and Gerry are more concerned about protecting their own backs than showing concern for Maddy and Kate's parents who are obviously suffering tremendously. How could anyone be like this ?
Surley the PJ must know about the things which came out on this prog?

Hi! I'm Spanish, I saw this documentary last night. All that you said is right, Maddie's grandparents looked more human than the McCanns but the interview wasn't relaxed at all. I'm sure their feelings and pain were real, but there was something weird in them, as if the grandma tried to control the situation and her husband's feelings and it was also weird when they looked down at the floor while sending the message to the kidnapper. Maddie's case is a huge mystery, I ask myself if we will ever know what really happened to the poor girl as if it was a crime it seems like the perfect crime.

Kate's illness would then explain why Gerry felt he had to send a friend to check on Kate coping with the kids while he took a tennis lesson.
There's so much more to all of this than meets the eye.

I agree with the panel. The whole exercise HAS been about Damage Limitation and never been about searching for Madeleine. I believe the McCanns know that she isn't coming back.

i am personally not a mccann fan not for the reason that i think they have or haven't harmed their child but for the simple fact that the children should never have been left in the first place alone... i think that too many people are reading between the lines now and it is spiralling out of control with loads of speculation which are now clouding the original facts of the case...

the children should never have been left alone in the first place

Madeleine's Grandparents must abhor the very idea of a kidnapper with their precious Granddaughter. Their pain is unimaginable.

I'm certain even if brought face to face with someone so vile, their words would fail them. Thats just what happened... confronted with someone so vile, their words failed them. What kind of a message could they word to someone they abhor to such an extent. Even if given time, i, a complete stranger to Madeleine have no words to express my anguish & utter replusion for the abductor. Naturally, they stared at the floor...
Its not strange, Transbabe, its natural.
