Because of our "western civilization" centered world.
It was the "western" countries who explored, mapped, and were the leading scientific minds of our world... like it or not... that's the facts. So our mapping, exploration, and everything that stems from it were "dictated" by those powerful countries. If Africa were the continent that had the most powerful countries, then that would have been designated as the northern hemisphere, and so on down the line.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

Because there`s an inter-relationship among all the Universe
stars & any existing mass that are ruled basically by the gravity.It means that equilibrium is what keep all as it was, is & will be forever, as far nothing & nobody could prove the opposite
