safe as in STD? No....but safe to have sex and not hurt the bay...yes...in fact, science has proven that sex during pregnancy is not only enjoyable for the mother but also for the fetus...I know it sounds sick, but the fetus is at a state of peace....and no nothing will happen to the fetus during sexual intercourse unless the male partner is completely 20 feet long haha!! :)

Seriously check with your doctor. If the Doc says its ok then its ok. But be gentle, no pounding!. Please check with your doctor first, don't listen to some of the idiots on this board. eitemad_eitemad gives the impression that she's a doctor, regardless - no doctor would say its safe without first knowing your medical history of preterm labor or other medical problems and/or first checking your cervix for softening, etc. And if you are given the go ahead to have sex by a doctor in person, then by all means use condoms if your do not have a steady partner, who you know for sure is monogamous.

yes its safe, and an orgasm can actually help calm the baby. Sex can also help to bring on labor. But remember to take care. some positions can be very uncomfortable for a pregnant woman, so make sure to communicate with her to fnd th best position. Also, take it easy. No rough stuff.

It's safe and healthy for both baby and mom. The baby enjoys a soothing sensation due to the state that her mother's body is in. It's also great for bonding between mother & father, and helps to soften the cervix to prepare for delivery.

It is perfectly normal to have sex during this period. The only no no is if you have a low placenta or if you have any other complications and a high risk pregnancy. The best advise is what your doc recommends, so listen to your doc.

I was told last week that it is ok.. Unless your Dr tells you no. I am having twins so I have to make sure I do not go into labor yet, but my Dr said that it does not hurt the baby at all..

Of course it is!
Me, and my "ex-wife" had sex all the way up to her 9th month...TWICE!
I was once apprehensive too back then, but I kept it gentle, and as loving, as if she wasn't pregnant.
So get in there, and have you fun!
