In Mumbai pedestrian walk on the road fearlessly, the vehicles sometimes climb on the foot path and the dividers. The foot paths are exclusively for hawkers.

I'm walking around the city where I live, and there are many people walking around as well. The city is, on the whole, quite well-planned for walkers (not so well for cyclists).
The only solution is to completely pedestrianize all or part of the city centre. it makes it a much safer, more pleasant environment; and forces people to walk, which is one of the healthiest forms of exercise.

they hav to walk on the roads because at that time the vehicle rider can ride the vehicle over the generall peoples whom we called pedastirans. b'coz all the rich people has many vehicles as wel as highrange cars so why they hav to walk on the roads.

Well, pedestrians are supposed to walk on sidewalks...
If side walks are not available, then the road is not intended for pedestrians..
