I would say that life is more like a hiking trail than a highway.
A highway is generally smooth and easy to move along on. But, a highway shows how fast paced life seems to be anymore.
However, on a trail at times you will be on steep and uneven terrain, and at other times the trail will be smooth and flat before you. Also, when a trail is hard it make the view at the end, that deep intake of breath and exhalation, all the more exhilarating and rewarding, just as in life.

Life is what you make of it. If you live a fast life then I would call it a highway but if you take time to enjoy life then I would say its a hiking trail.

Life is a journey where each decision you make determines your destiny and the path you walk on. So id say, depending on the choices one makes ...life could be a highway for one n a hiking trail for another...u could make it anything u want :-)

i don't know what this means. my son is watching the movie cars right now and that song life is a highway is on right now when this question poped up which kinda freaked me out. what are the odds?
ps if life is a highwaysor hiking trail that means there's twist and turns and something diffrent at every mile. all leading you to a diffrent destenation. (and i wanna ride it all night long! lol)

well it cant be called a highway cause its not always an straight and easy ride.
its deff a hiking trail. gotta work your way up to the top.

Hmmmm sometimes I think ppl are in such a rush to live their lives that its more like a highway.Speeding to get from point A to point B and staying in their own vehicle their own comfort zone and space.
Rarely these days does it seem like a hiking trail where we stop to admire things,people or places outside our own atmosphere.
So mostly its a highway fast paced....

I would say both.
highway: long, intersects with other freeways and has choices west/east or north/south just like life's obstacles.
hiking trail: short or long (of life's longevity), could have hills (life's ups and downs & obstacles).
I say its more of a hiking trail!
