Leaving babies unattended is wrong.
We know that & the McCanns & their friends know it now.
Don't you think that
whether they ate together in a restaurant OR
whether they ate apart from the rest of the other diners OR
whether they downed 15-30 bottles of wine or water OR
whether they ordered fish or crab OR
whether they were rude or polite to the stewards

is totally irrelevant to Madeleine going missing???

If we have to discuss hearsay from the media & can't stick to facts,
at least, can we please stick to what is relevant to the case?

How on earth do insinuations about the McCanns & friends' arrogance
have anything to do with Madeleine???

Surely there are arrogant folk around who take good care of their babies?
Surely there are humble folk around who don't?
Generalisations like this are weak, petty & only point to prejudice...not reason.

Intel, "a set of behaviours" as put by you may very well reflect the nature of those under scrutiny. Whats important is the authenticity of that behaviour. That they are arrogant is only based on hearsay. By the same yardstick, i could state that they are very down to earth & humble folk with the way it was reported that they mingled & made friends with the local Portuguese folk during their Church visits.

Intel, i clarified at the outset that we weren't speaking of leaving the babies unattended. That was wrong and not based on hearsay, i agree. I said that calling them arrogant was based on hearsay.

My sentiments entirely and very well put. My concern is for the child not the stupidity of the parents.

I don't think we can say it is irrelevant. IF Madeleine was kidnapped by a stranger I would say they had perfect oppurtunity to do it especially if it was someone watching the family and knew they left night after night. A kidnapper who would take a child while the parents are in the apartment with them has got alot of balls. I would guess to say the kidnapper would find a easier target like a child being left or a parent with their back turned. So more likely then not had she had repsonsible adults watching over her I would say chances of her being kidnapped would decrease greatly.
IF there were an accident resulting in Madeleine's death because she was left alone then again it is not irrelevant because it could have been prevented.
IF it was premeditated which I just can't see motive..then no it is not relevant at all.

It is a set of behaviors that when taken collectively reflect the mindset of the 'professionals' that are the Tapas 9. Clearly everything is relevant when behaviors reflect and reinforce bad parenting.

Edit: Children left unattended by ALL of the professionals is a behavior NOT based on hearsay. I think you have/are too much Faith!

Mc Canns, well educated people who left their children unattended while going for a bit to eat in a foreign country. I tell you this if that happened to the ordinary joe soap he and she would have the rest of their family taken away for them and thrown into jail for child neglect. Yeah my heart goes out to little Madeleine, but I ask you this, Y have the mccanns got away with neglect to their children the night in question?????

People's behaviour and movements on an evening when a child goes missing is totally relevant. That is why they do reconstructions and why learning all about everyone's movements is an essential and basic part of police investigations!
