Most definitely. I have Asperger's. It was not diagnosed until 1994 and by that time I had received so many misdiagnoses and been mis-medicated that an ASD wasn't even considered. I finally received a proper diagnosis at age 22 after consulting with a specialist.

Yes. We are acquainted with someone whose son was just diagnosed a couple of years ago at around age 30. I know of another person in their 20's that suspects they may be on the spectrum and is seeking an eval.

It usually occurs with very high functioning individuals who have Aspergers or are HFA. They may seem to be just a little odd or geeky and have poor social skills.
