My husbands niece is newly seperated & getting cozy w/ her boss....who is her hubby's ex-boss & a wife-beater. Yes, he's married. I think the niece is just sort of in that re-bound, anger/resentment period after a breakup. Typically I'd say let it play out & she'll move on - but we're worried about where her choices will take her & how unsafe it could become. She and her hubby have 2 kids. He is worried as well.

What would you do?

I would voice your concern. Domestic violence is nothing to play about. Try to talk to her in a calm and loving manner and ask her what she really wants out of a relationship and if she feels she could truly find it with this man---a married one to say the least. Be there for her and keep a watchful eye on the situation

The only thing you can do is talk to her and try to convince her that she is not safe. You cannot do anything else until he hurts her. Good luck to you all. I would make sure that the children know how to use the phone to dial 911 or their father in case something happens and they need help.

The most you could do is, advise her about her boss' character. Invite her to your house more often with her kids. She is lonely n lost. She needs shoulders to cry on... be there for her.
