I have really bad anxiety problems, very horrible ones. Lately thought every time i go to sleep (napping included) i wake up in the middle of it and freakout. Like I woke up recently in the middle of my sleep and saw the shaddow of my windows perpendicular to it, and i felt confused, i thought "that's not where my window is suppose to be at" it took me a minute to decipher the fact that it was a shaddow. Sometimes i wake up and just stand up all anxious and what not. does anyone know what this could be? also, Lately i've been feeling very strange, for example everytime i speak to my family i feel like i'm drunk or high and they know it, eventhough i'm neither high nor drunk, i just feel conscious like that. does that make sense? anyways, does anyone know what this could be? is it just anxiety at its worse?

It's not insanity but it most certainly is anxiety. And it sounds pretty harrowing....Have you considered seeing a therapist so that you can find out what is going on? He will probably want you to have a physical with your GP to make sure nothing is going on physically. The high feeling may be from hyperventilating, which is very common when people get very very anxious. They breathe very fast and shallowly and can actually pass out without even being aware they are doing it. On the other hand, this "conscious " feeling may be something altogether different that you and your therapist can determine.

Wow, really sense you didn't once mention waking up from a dream. Do you dream? Could be that someone has insomia, which would case you to feel the high and druck feeling during conscioness because your not getting your full sleep. Which is most likly caused by the anxiety. So it sounds like anxiety causing insomia causing you to have a sort of waking dream state. Been there before very surreal, which is a good work for it, sort of sensing reality in a shifted way. It would be right for you to ether seek councilling or if you can your parents help.
