1. 264/11 = 24, B

2. x^2 = 81, so x=9, D

3. V = 12^2(pi)30 = 144(pi)30 = 4320pi ~ 13500 or so, A

1) To get the length, just divide the area by the length.
264 ÷ 11 = 24 yards = (B)

2) The cardboard is a square, meaning that the length and width are the same size. To get the length, just take the square root of the area.
√(81) = 9 in. = (D)

3) You need to get the volume of the cylinder. That is given by the formula: V = π(r^2)h. Solve for r = 12, and h = 30
π(12^2)(30)
π(144)(30)
~ 13,564.8 cubic feet = (A)

for the first question, divide 264 by 11 for your answer... the answer is 24..

for the second question, because the piece of cardboard is a SQUARE, the length would equal the width... 9 times 9 equals 81, so the length AND width are both 9 inches.

for the third question.. I don't know this one. I feel stupid.

axis of symetry is the equation of a line that bisects the object in symetrical products. so for a parabola if the vertex is on the y axis that's x=0 if the vertex have been at x=5/13 then the axis of symetry would be x=5/13. vertex is got here across using x=-b/2a then plug it in to the equation to resolve for y. the place ax^2+bx+c
