i get to work at least 15 min. early so i can be ready to go. but this chick comes stumbling in when she feels like it.
and of course i cant leave till she gets here..

used to now i work 12 days on two liveing there for those 12 days. No one comes in to give me time off though staff im over drives me nuts with being late and wanting to leave early all the time.

I pity you. I cant leave until the kids moms get there, BOTH of them, and one mom is always late. One time, I didnt get to leave until an hour and a half after I was supposed to, and thats only because I called the Grandma! I guess they forgot about their own kid!

Yes, I can relate. I work with a guy who constantly "goes out" on drinking tangents, tells me all of these beautiful excuses... lets see... car got stolen at least twice, grandpa's died a few times, he's gotten beat up twice... a few times when he rolls in he simply says "don't ask". He's got a special friendship with the boss so he's avoided to get in trouble. The whole time me and the rest of my time are working our tails off!
NOT FAIR... I feel ya!

i like to be early
and they come strolling in like they rule the world makes me so mad
i over sleep once and get written up and they don't for being tardy EVERY day. 15-20 min
they know we can't go anywhere and the job is still getting done, so why do they care

oh you poor baby! i always say, once you get to work your pretty much a hostage. what i hate more than that is when your relief calls in 30-45 minutes before they're supposed to be there and says, i don't think i can make it in today! a girl did that to me last week, i said what do you mean you 'think'....i told her, you better find someone to come in then!....let's have a pity party!!!~♥~

Yes it does but sometimes I'm the other person too most of the time it's something out of my control that makes me late. So as much as it sucks and I feel for ya...atleast I call lol.

You ain't never lied. That could never be more true. You are absolutely right. They take their time coming in but when their ready to go and their relief hasn't come, they talk junk. It's crazy. I hate it.

OMG I go through that almost every nite! lol ya I had one girl call and say she was gonna be 15 minutes late and she didn't get there till an hour after her shift was supposed to start! wtf? but the boss thinks she's soooooo cool so she doesn't get into any trouble! politics!

We have one consistent violator where I work, and we constantly make his life hell so he'll either straighten up or leave. So far we're failing on both fronts.
