My Obgyn told me when I was pregnant that the baby doesn't kick or move regularly until after the 6th month, then you can count on regular movement, sometimes even down to certain times of the day. Your baby could be moving, but turned to face your spine, and you wouldn't feel any movement, plus the baby is still small enough to perform acrobatics with out causing you a great deal of pain, lol. And sometimes the little buggers move when you move so you don't feel them
Eat or drink something sweet and lay down, if there is no movement what so ever with in an hour call your Doctor or go to the E R straight away, better to go and look neurotic then wait and feel badly.
I am sure everything is fine, but good Idea to get checked out if no movement, for the next hour after something sugary to eat.
Good luck.

Sometimes the baby may be sleeping in a very comfortable position and doesnt want to move. Even in the stomach, babies have a sleeping pattern. some babies sleep for long hours and may not move. Sometimes they may not be sleeping but just resting in a very comfortable position and doesnt wish to move. At times when you are busy you wont feel if the baby had moved as you were concentrating on the work you were doing. And also they say when you walk around, the baby feels the rocking motion and they feel sleepy and sleep. So you may drink something cold and sugary and rest for a while in a place and check if the baby is kicking. But dont panic if you dont feel anything. Make a visit to your doctors just to know that everything is going fine and to set your mind at ease. I feel what youre going through is normal. Yet clear your doubts with the doc.
Wishing you good luck. Prayers to have a very smooth, safe and a peaceful pregnancy :-)

Drink a Pepsi or Coke, something with a little caffeine and a load of sugar (NOT an energy drink). If you still can't feel the baby, then call your doc (there should be someone on call 24/7) and do whatever they advise. If you have changed your activity level over the last couple days this might explain it, you are much less likely to feel the baby when you are active and involved in an activity (your mind is really into it). Best of luck to you!

Yes, don't worry this is completely normal. Your baby is just as tired as you and your baby is taking a rest. Your baby might be moving, but just making small movements that you may not be able to feel. This may sound funny, but it will work. Take a frozen bag of peas or an ice pack and place it on one side of your stomach for a couple minutes and you might need to put a little pressure on the ice. Your baby will feel the cold and not like it, causing your baby to move away from the cold. You might not know which side your baby is resting on so try it with both sides. Just make sure you leave it on your side long enough for your baby to feel the cold. Hopefully this will work for you and reassure you. I'm not trying to be funny. This hap pend to a friend of mine and we did the same thing to her. I just dont want you to be freaked out by the other answers. Let me know what happens. Also try drinking a lil caffeine. Good luck

I would say check with your Doctor on the count if you are concerned then you should be seen. Do not get worried just share in my experience. In my case no it was not I pre-funneled and my baby had came Earlie. He was born at 26 and 4/7 weeks just about where you are, I did not have pain I felt him turn. Then I felt like my stomach was hard and gassier then a few days went in for ultra sound. Then I was admitted I spent 1month in hospital. Now he is 15 months. But adjustment is 12 at the end of this month.

Since you are 5 months pregnant you may feel less baby movements. Wait for 4-5 more weeks to feel much more baby movements. It is difficult to judge whether its a gas or baby movements. U feel the baby movements much more during the night time. sit quietly and observe..... :)

Yes it's normal. I am 22 weeks 5 days so nearly 5 months 3 weeks preggo and i still get my days were i dont feel bub move at all!! I used to freak out about it but i am getting used to it. I didnt feel him move yesterday and only felt one movement today. when i went for my 20 week scan i hadnt felt him move for a week. The sonographer said he was moving HEAPS and he was surprised i couldnt feel it. But everything was fine!!
I have been told regular movements are not felt until you are about 25 weeks thats when you should start feeling movement every day. It's normal so try not to worry too much.
But if you are a worry wart like me lol you should invest in a fetal heart monitor, i bought one off Ebay so when ever i am concerned i get out my heart monitor and listen to his heart beat, it puts my mind at ease and it's nice to hear when you are worried!! Oh yeah have you tried orange juice, my partner just bought me some and my bub has started moving a bit!!
Congrats on your baby!!

Try eating some sweet. Or drinking something really cold and see if that gets the baby moving. If you still don't feel comfortable then follow your mom intuition and go to the DR and make sure the baby okay. The last thing you need to do is stress and if this puts your mind at ease then go to the ER hon and check.

Certainly call the doctor to put your mind at rest but my daughter hardly ever felt her son kick I believe the placenta was at the front so that cushioned the feeling . she was often worried but he was born a healthy active baby maybe baby has moved position a little. when she was carrying her daughter she was very active in the womb. It was many years ago I was pregnant but if I remember rightly same happened to me sometimes I didn't feel them for a week or so

Call your Dr or the hospital you are going to and they will inform you what to do. My daughter had lazy days but I could still fell her some of the time and how she was laying some of the time caused me not to be able to feel her. I really think you need to contact someone if you haven't felt it for 2 days though. Good luck
