There are still many who seem to believe that Kate, Gerry and the rest of the 'Tapas 9' only neglected their children and left them on their own that one night on 3rd May.
We read however that 'The couple and their friends all left their children in their apartments at exactly the same time for the last four nights of their holiday, according to the new witness' A staff member at the resort where the nine-strong group enjoyed two or three-hour meals - typically washed down with eight to ten bottles of wine a night - said the nightly routine was 'set in stone'. He said the group made a 'special arrangement' to book the same table at 8pm every night He told how the arrangement was widely known about by workers at the restaurant, who thought it was strange that other holiday-makers had to queue for reservations at the popular tapas bar.
Are you still under the llusion that the McCanns and their friends neglect was a one off ?

If the newspapers are to be believed - the Tapas 9 think they are very special people.. not choosing to eat in the main restaurant with the rabble plebians - and - not having a baby sitter. Clearly if they dont want to be exposed to strangers then they should have holidayed in their back garden! For me the Tapas 9 are the embodiment of arrogance...

These people are obviously accustomed to "doing their own thing" without the hindrance of small children. Put them in creche all day, no nanny available, leave them alone and go out at night.
As for Social Services, I expect their hands are tied. The twins will be well looked after, now they are at home, presumably by the Nanny. I think the state of mind of the parents should also be taken into consideration where their welfare is concerned though.

I think it was widely reported they left their kids every night.
IF she was abducted (and that is a big IF!) it would have been by a tip off from someone in the hotel or one of the other guests who knew about the arrangement they had made.
Shame on the McCanns and their silly arrogant friends.

The Tapas 9 must have had a terrible upbringing to think that it is o.k to abandon their children, goodness knows what atrocities they had to go through when they were all children, it must have been horrific to have been left by their parents night after night and who knows what else they suffered at the hands of their terrible parents , perhaps beatings, locked in cupboards, sexual abuse who knows ?
These people are more to be pitied and obviously need some sort of help and counselling, that is why it is all our duty to write to whatever health board they work for and voice our concern that it is outrageous to allow people who are unfit through delusional illness to be allowed to work with the vulnerable public.
After all they played God with their children's life, why wouldn't they do the same with someone who is ill.

Yeah, I read that myself, the pro's will dismiss it as ludicrous though, same as anything else that puts the Tappas 9 in a bad light, the only truth in the papers is when its in favour of the Mccann's (according to the blinkered pro-Macs)

i never thought for one moment that it was a one off, how they are not being prosecuted for child neglect is beyond me, they have all admitted to leaving their children un supervised, if i left my children alone (which i would never ever do) to pop to the shops i'd be banged up straight away and the kids put into care because im working class

The free baby listening service that was offered at the resort did exactly what the Mccanns did - listened at the door for crying children. Now this would not be enough for me. I would want someone actually with my child, but can you not begin to understand why they might felt safe leaving them. They were in the resort, they could see the back of the apartment from the restaurant, they were checking every half hour. I don't agree with them, but I can see why they were so naive, and felt that the children would be safe. They may well have left their children in this manner on more than one occasion, but what is the point you are trying to make? This does not prove their guilty of anything more. I think we should stop banging on about the child neglect issue, they have learnt in the harshest possible way that their actions were stupid, and will pay for it for the rest of their lives. Social services have visited them and found the twins to be happy well looked after children.

Its already been widely reported, so it's not new information. Do you think that they are the only people in the world who do this sort of thing, no they are not, but so people are out there ready to condemn without knowing all the facts. I am not by the way a supporter, and have no vested interest, but heavens sake this is a witch hunt, and maybe it's because they are white middle class, and haven't shown a great deal of overwrought emotion. which as one expert said the other day on the news may well count against them. And i tend to agree with that view.
