Actually, there are many misconceptions about an introvert. An introvert is a person that can even be the life of a party and can act maximally extroverted, but the only difference is that introverts need to recharge their batteries after a long party and need to be alone for a little while.

So if you're taking this in a negative way.....don't.

I was born very introverted, as by dad was. Most Korean men are very introverted indeed. As I was growing up, past college years, I grew out of it. I'm a very social person and communicate openly. I'm sure everyone has potential to becoming extrovert, not that being introverted is bad.

You were not born an introvert.
Every one is born with two things that is common to all of mankind. The fear of falling, and the fear of loud noises.
Everything else is taught to us, or we learn it ourselves.
An introvert has learnt this aspect of their lives, if this person is happy with it then that is just fine. If they aren't? Well you can unlearn it!
This takes time, perseverance, patience and hard work but anyone can learn a different lifestyle if they want to. But the 'want' to change has to be there for that person.
If they wish to be a more out going woman or man, then it is up the the individual to do so. Mom, dad, siblings and friends cannot do it for them.
They themselves are makers of themselves.

I believe we are born that way- not everyone can be the loud, outgoing type....it takes all kinds. You can still be an introvert and lead a happy productive life. It takes hard work to learn to be extroverted when it counts though- like at work etc.... but you can do it.

I don't care what the books say I believe the introverted people are the thinkers and when they have something to say we should listen.

Be proud of who you are because it's all in there
