You sort of have to help him keep the breast in his mouth. You sort of have to shove it in so he latches on strong and then keep it in there until he's really good at it. You can check with a doctor or the la leche league to help you. Good luck!

Maybe you're waiting too long to feed him. That could be the root of his frustration. My daughter does it every once in awhile and it's usually becuase she's worked up over something--- she may be too hungry or bothered by noise, just depends. So maybe try altering what you're doing while breastfeeding. Catch his hunger earlier, soothe him, be in a quiet place, get a comfy pillow for him etc... Or it could be something in your milk--- have you been eating something different lately or more of something in particular??? He could also be wanting more milk because he's growing and it's just not flowing quickly enough. Or it could be the opposite, some babies get frustrated becuase the milk flow is too fast. Is your milk supply ok? Another thing is that his mouth may be irritated. Thrush can do this, so you may want to check his mouth or check your breasts. Sometimes Thrush doesn't show signs as early as it is contracted, so keep an eye out. Hope this gives some insight. Try some things to figure out what it is becuase your little guy seem upset about something :-)
Also! My daughter is congested and sometimes if I don't have her nose suctions well we have a hard time breastfeeding. She feels like she can't breathe very well, and naturally, she thinks it's the breast causing it so she pulls off and has a hard time staying latched and bobs her head in frustration. Poor girl!

He might have a cold and a plugged up nose.
He might just be moving around too much.
Don't get frustrated. The older they get, the better they get. It's like riding a bicycle. They learn fast.

breast feeding is way harder than most people would guess.
we finally gave up and use a breast pump exclusively. it works well for baby and mother though it takes alot of time because expressing milk and feeding are now 2 seperate activities.
good luck!

Does he have a stuffy nose? If he does, maybe he's just coming up for air.
