The first one was like 3 seasons.
The new one is very good. It was a little bumpy at first because of some rewrites due to cast changes, but I think it is get better and better. It isn't as cheesy as the first Bionic Woman. Also, Jaime Sommers is more vulnerable and seems to be on a journey of discovering who she is.

I have watched some of the episode of old Bionic Woman and I find the story really interesting though I cannot say which is better the old or the new, for I haven't seen the New version of Bionic Woman. All I can say is the new character of Bionic Woman is stunning.

The original was bad. This one, great effects, a hot bionic woman, with a hot sister and a bad villain. Poor story sometimes, but at least a fair series.

The old one was all about the empowered 70s woman and chicks learning to do it for themselves in a macho man's world. It was timely and kinda cool.
The new one is all about the struggling gen-x woman and chicks trying to be everything themselves in a man-child's world. It is slightly outdated and kinda cliched. The same stuff but a different era... but I think the new one is maybe 5 years too late, the world belongs to gen-y now. The impossible struggle of gen-x women to be simultaneously perfect workers/ mothers/ thinkers/ feelers/ sexy/ role-models bores me.
Frankly the 70s Bionic Man was the best. Oh yeah both the 70s shows had heaps cooler sound effects, a bit like the old school transformers sound in reverse.

No, the main actress is "missing" something. It's almost as if they should've had the "bad" bionic Woman and the "good" bionic woman switched from the beginning (the actresses, I mean). She just does not seem to have any depth, if that makes any sense.

The original lasted from 1976 to 1978 (January 11, 1976 – May 13, 1978). Never saw the new series so I can't tell you.

Well, Im still trying to get into the new series. But my husband loves it. I have watched it every week, but I could live with out it.
So I don't know IMO the verdict is still out. But its worth a shot to at least try.
