Especially when they have only played the Jets (1-6), Chargers (3-3), Bills (2-4), Cincinnati (2-4), Cleveland (3-3), Dallas (6-1) and Miami (0-7). ONE team with a winning record! They play in the AFC East (arguably the worst division in football) and have only 2-3 quality teams left on their schedule. Wow...no wonder why they are so "good".

They are simply the IT team. They play in a large market, and have some big name players. The media has always loved Tom Brady. The Patriots are destroying teams right now, albeit terrible teams. Another factor is Tom Brady throwing td passes like they are going out of style. Manning and the Colts are the better team. They can actually run the ball and play defence, but they don't win by 30+ anymore.

Save some ketchup. You will eat this question after the Patriots play the Colts and the Steelers.
It's not that the Patriots have that weak a schedule. After last season, giving them the Chargers, Steelers and Colts was supposed to be tough. Yes, they play in the AFC East but that was supposed to be greatly improved with the Jets and Dolphins being wild card candidates. Chargers announcers, pundits and blowhards had the Chargers just beating up the Patriots because of "spygate" -- right up to game time anyway.
Face it, a Bellichick coached and hand picked team is going to be good.
Are they the greatest team ever? Who outside of Bristol, Conn. gives a dam? They want to win all their games, go to the playoffs and win the Super Bowl. No one in New England could care less about anything else that they do or that the geniuses on Around the Horn come up with.

The 1972 Miami Dolphins didn't have the hardest schedule either. What's your point? The Chargers were still the favorites to win the Superbowl last year and this year, the Dallas Cowboys are considered the NFC favorite this year, even now. I don't think I could call them the greatest ever, but they are certainly in the top 10 or top 5 maybe.

Typical media hyperbole. They're trying to sell this meeting coming up between the Colts and New England, and since the Colts are the defending champs, they have to make their opponents seem like King Kong by comparison. Good grief, we're not even halfway through the season, anointing ANYBODY as the greatest whatever this early is too foolish to be taken seriously.

wether they are or not i hope when they do lose (and they will) we will see how much class they have after the loss if they have any at all, and all the patsie fans i cant wait to hear it from you after the loss, will you be able to admit someone beat you or make up excuses? will you just dissapear from the boards for a week or come on answers and talk down to others just like always? will the patsie fans dig deep and show some class or be their usual obnoxious selves? only time will tell but i wouldent hold my breath and expect any kind of class act from the patsie organization or their fans like brianalgr

I agree they have a week schedule. But they are arguably the best team in the NFL right now and have the Superbowls to back up all the hype. Not sure if I agree with the comments that Indy is the better team though.

You are correct sir. They have played a poor group of teams 17 wins and 28 losses. Sheesh 0.37 winning percentage. Now I'm impressed. They beat Dallas. Hard to imagine with Terrill "Oh I dropped the Ball" Owens.

Colts have played teams with a 0.527 wining percentage.

They stepped forward one in all those fanbase that the NFL become afraid of punishing them for cheating their thank you to 3 superbowls. i think of that makes them the excellent of all time, reason how would desire to the different team win against a cheating patriots club?

Whether or not they play easy teams they are proving they are a dynasty and a force to be reckon with. They are on their way of a 4th superbowl of this decade and Brady could have about 60 single season TDs.
