1) Mixes number of 28 / 8
= 3 4 /8
= 3 1 /2
2) 7 / 8 + 3 1/4
= 7 / 8 + 13 / 4
= (1 * 7)/(1 * 8) + (2 * 13) / (2 * 4)
[ take the L.C.M of the denominators ]
= 7 / 8 + 26 / 8
= (7 + 26) / 8
= 33/8
= 4 1 / 8
3) LCM of 50 and 60
Prime factors of 50:
2 * 5 * 5
Prime factors of 60:
2 * 2 * 3 * 5
Common prime factors:
2, 5
Uncommon prime factors:
5, 3, 2
Multiply the common factors and uncommon factors:
(2 * 5) * (2 * 3 * 5)
= 10 * 30
= 300
Therefore:
L.C.M of 50 and 60 = 300
