The Danish "Emma Maersk" is the biggest container ship ever built.

The Evergreen company commissioned a container ship so large, it will be recorded as the world record. It is slated for it's maiden voyage in 2009.

It has not been named as of yet.

Currently, the record holder is an oil tanker of Chinese origin.
