i not known kangaroos to live much longer than about 1 week max if they are not properly feed with formulas ,also they are REALLY hard to care for can i ask what you plan to do with it if it was to live , they grow you know they don,t stay little , their hind claws can rip through dogs if they attack and they are after all wild animals that should be left alone by people , i live in a area were dumb tourists stop in the middle of the road to look and feed the kangaroos , all it takes is one scare and they scatter , and many people stop with young kids to feed them not thinking about the danger they are placing their children in ,they are wild animals and are unpredictable . This behavior by people desensitizes the kangaroo and they are more willing to approach humans at a risk of being corner and attacking ,whilst seeking hand outs Seriously grow up if you need a baby kangaroo ,join a wildlife rescue program and you can help look after the joeys that are left orphaned by mothers that are killed on the roads and release the damage done by feed and trying to tame wild animals

Kangaroos are dangerous. Their tails and legs are very powerful. They can support their weight on their tail and position themselves to plant their raptor-like claws into your belly and tear your guts out. It's happened to people. Cute does not equal "pet".
